It’s me, Jess!
I’m a Portland-based multimedia artist, graphic designer, printmaker, bookbinder, and occasional keeper of organized chaos.
With over 20 years of experience in graphic design and print production, I move between creative projects and practical problem-solving, from designing visual identities and producing printed materials to providing administrative and organizational support for small businesses and non-profit organizations.
I recently completed work on ADX’s 15 Years in the Making project, digging through years of photos, flyers, and ephemera to transform the community’s history into yearbook zines and more. My role involved archival organizing, layout, print production, and obsessing over tiny design details nobody else notices.
Beyond ADX, my work includes communication design, bookbinding workshops and creative experiences for groups and teams, along with ongoing projects like a mixed media tarot deck, handmade art books, and large-scale fiber art.
Art journaling has been an important part of my life for over 15 years, serving as a form of self-expression, meditation, and therapy. I'm always exploring new materials and techniques, with current interests in illustration, encaustic, mural painting, and experimental fiber art.
Whether I'm making books, designing visuals, teaching workshops, or helping a small business stay organized, I'm happiest making things, solving creative problems, and seeing where the process takes me. All fueled by kombucha and paranormal podcasts, of course.
